Every piece begins with careful observation of the natural world — the subtle curve of a leaf, the texture of bark, the way water gathers along a stone. Using the Japanese Mitsuro Hikime method alongside traditional lost wax casting, I translate those organic details into wearable art. The Mitsuro Hikime technique lets me capture fine, delicate lines and textures; Lost Wax Casting ensures structural integrity and a refined finish.
Materials are chosen for longevity and presence: solid sterling silver, timeless bronze, recycled precious metals, and ethically sourced stones. Finished to soft patinated surfaces that age gracefully, deepening the connection between wearer and object over time. Each item is handcrafted to ensure the warmth and irregularities that make it uniquely natural are captured.
The result is jewellery that is both beautiful and resilient — pieces you can wear daily and keep the natural world close.
My relationship with metal began when I was a child, working alongside my father and learning to transform raw materials with my hands. Over the years, my creative path took me through recycled metalwork, design and interiors before bringing me back to jewellery.
Today, I create each piece in my Wanaka studio, exploring the relationship between natural forms, texture and the human hand. I am drawn to surfaces that aren’t perfectly smooth, forms that aren’t perfectly symmetrical and pieces that retain something of the process that created them.
